Obi

About

Obi turns your TV into a sleeve you can read from the couch. Drop the needle, press OK, and it listens to the room, works out which record is on the turntable, and follows along for the rest of the side — lyrics in time with the music, the tracklist, and how long you have before you need to get up. There is no account or collection to import. If more than one release matches, pick the right sleeve from the covers on screen. When a side ends, it shows the full tracklist for the next one and whether to flip the record or reach for the next disc. Just flip — Obi listens during the gap and starts the new side on its own.

• Identifies the record from the room audio with ShazamKit, then follows the whole side without listening again
• Choose the right pressing from the covers on screen when several releases match
• Time-synced lyrics scrolling in time with the music — the current line is bright and readable from across the room
• Sleeve art, track playing, and what's coming up next
• Side progress at a glance — track position, time left, and a heads-up on the final track
• End of a side shows the next side's tracklist, and starts it on its own once you flip
• Lyric timing nudge (Left / Right) for pressings that run a few seconds off the digital master
• Colours pulled from the album art, so every record lights the room differently
• Built for the remote — no touchscreen needed, everything sized to read from a couch
• Needs a USB or Bluetooth mic — TV streamers don't expose one to apps, and Obi says so up front rather than hanging on "Listening…"
